moderator's assistance on Wrong Planet.
1) Post a reply to this thread
Use this option for:
- » reporting spam attacks
- » reporting clearly inappropriate content (e.g. porn)
- » reporting misplaced threads
- » requesting other actions on or attention to threads or posts
2) Create a new thread in the WrongPlanet.net discussion forum
Use this option for:
- » site suggestions
- » issues with the site's operation
- » questions about WP that are not covered in the FAQ here
3) Send a private message to an active moderator
Use this option for:
- » reporting concerns about another member's behaviour
- » reporting content that may violate the site rules
Click a name on the list below to begin writing a PM to that moderator.
If you have an urgent concern that should be delivered via PM and you are not certain which moderators are currently online, make a reply to this thread and ask to whom you should write.
4) Reporting a Private Message
Use this option to report a PM you've received which causes concern, is spamming, or otherwise breaks the site rules.
Do not just delete an offensive PM; there is a chance it will have been sent to other members so please, report it instead.
Moderators cannot read your PMs - these need to be reported by clicking on the red exclamation point
on the lower right corner of the PM.Doing so will ensure that a copy of the content plus details of who sent it will be made available to moderators for review.
PLEASE DO NOT:
- » Use this section of the forums to gossip or vent about a member, mod, or admin.
- » Ask for another person's ban to be lifted. That is an individual's own responsibility.
- » Create a new account to inquire about a ban.
- » Make comments on people who post here or what they post - PM one of us about it instead.
- » Clog this thread with other unnecessary or off topic material.
Note that the moderators get a notification every time someone posts in this thread. Please don't waste our precious time by commenting or holding debates in this thread - such posts may be removed without notice. Also be aware that this thread is archived from time to time and all the posts are removed.

An additional note:
When reporting spam, please provide a link or at least a username. There are many topics posted on the forums here, and "they're back!" or "here we go again!" without a clue given as to where the spam was posted just means that we have to spend more time searching to find it.
