Thos who have extreme or weird fettishes like bestiality or some little girl being frustrated? Seems to me that these are the types of people who would be a little if not a lot psychotic with anti-social traits.

That needs to be addressed by PM. Generally we only ban people for trolling or repeated violations of the rules.

History books are full of examples of people who decided to "weed out the freaks".

The problem is that everyone's definition of freaks is different - eventually the weeders themselves become the freaks.

right but we'd be looking for psychotic traits, red flags and such. I just wish more colleges and high schools did that more often.

I'm saying keep an eye out for the people with the extreme fetishes because they've obviously got something going on upstairs.

So, someone has a really weird fetish, etc, and you don't like the looks of them. And yet they're honest. Does it affect you personally? Next, let's kick out the people who seem even a little weird, because they challenge your world view.
Let's not kick anyone with a weird fetish out unless they break the rules. e.g, describing child molestation, going into detail with bestality, going into illegal discussion, etc.

"Weeding out freaks" is a dangerous notion.

And if the weird fetish doesn't really hurt anyone, what does it matter? This place may be the only place that person has to connect to people, and if they have this one quirk, why be so critical or censurious?

If someone is fascinated by something harmful to someone else, maybe the contact with people here would help that person get help to deal with their "obsession."

It's one thing to consider something "icky," but to throw a human being out because their thoughts turn a certain way is to deny them the human contact they may need to turn around.

I'd rather we be able to talk about this stuff than not talk about it and put a person who may need help or an outlet to talk about their fascination into a position of stress which tends not to turn out so good.

I have a weird fetish and I am proud of it. I'm not hurting anyone. I wouldn't want to be weeded out for it.
