I went here:
http://www.wrongplanet.net/forum-ignore.html
and I entered the name of the user who I want to ignore.
But, I can still see a topic that was started by that user. I don't want to be able to see ANY posts or topics started by that user. Is there a way to do this?

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

You don't have to go to the adult forum when you turn 17. All you need to do is never click on the board.

I'm not aware of a functioning ignore feature on this board. Some have employed other means to achieve the same. I've never understood the attraction to that, so I can't help you there.

I have never understood the attraction to entirely ignoring users... it promotes attention seeking behavior when they are ignored... best let the mods give them attention... in bans and warnings.

The thing is, there are some people on these boards who are, for lack of a better term, annoying. Whenever I see them post something new, I think to myself, "Oh, god, here they go again."

I'd rather not see anything that they post. Hence, that's why it would be useful to have an "ignore" feature.

That's the thing. To my knowledge, only posts can be ignored. Topics will still be there. It shouldn't be that much of a bother to see a topic title from someone that gets to you. If it does get to you, and it is because it is inappropriate, you could contact a moderator. If it is simply because it is a topic made by someone you dislike...well... tough.

edit: Here is lau's post about how to do it. Haven't done it myself, don't much see the point.

I wonder how he saw one of your threads when you asked who hates you?

No problem. :)
And even if only posts can be ignored, it's better than nothing. :thumleft:

I've tried both of these. Greasemoney doesn't have the "x" on the left hand side and the WP ignore seems to do nothing, at the least with the previous posts of offending users.
