Is it possible to get images displayed through URLs in the poll opitions?

It will open a whole new series of awesome.

It's easy enough to make an OP and put the images you want in that OP - as people have done in the past. A bit of cut&paste can make the poll options match captions to the images.

Bear in mind that the poll gets displayed on every page of the thread. I find some polls with a lot of long text options actually kill the thread, because I get irritated by having to see them every time. With images, that would be far worse.

So, I see your point. Nice idea. In practice, I think I'd just skip such a poll.

Might there be a way to make the pics appear as thumbnails in the polls? That could solve the problem . . . . and open the gateway to the whole new level of awesomeness Hale_Bopp alluded to!

I've seen a tiny number of occasions when polls were for a choice of images. I think Lemon did such a thing with some of her artwork. Quatermass occasionally changes his avatar using such a poll. In neither case would it have made the slightest sense to have even thumbnails in the poll list. I fail to comprehend where the "awesomeness" would come in?

It would also certainly make it very uncomfortable for someone with a slow connection, or impossible for anyone who was working from a machine where some image sites were blocked.
