It says (address is banned) what does that mean?

edit: I hope it doesn't mean I got banned somehow after I was gone =\


Edit the second: I googled that, apparently I am banned from the wrongplanet channel for no reason, because I can't get on now, and I didn't say anything before I left. And now I'm frustrated.

I'm no expert, but might it be an IP ban from abuse from another internet user? Try resetting your connection - I am moving this to wrongplanet.net discussion as it is site-related.

Meh, no luck so far, but I don't think i'm "resetting" my connection, i just disabled my connection for a second...thank you so much for taking the time to help me, i really appreciate it.

my assumptions were correct, i suppose cable IP's are static, no luck for me:(

Well, they're more constant than most - few residential services automatically provide a static IP in my area, so it may just be a matter of unplugging the modem for a few minutes and then letting it re-establish connection. Otherwise, that is something that would have to be addressed to an IRC mod - hopefully one will be in here in soon enough.
