I got lazy about doing homework and trying to remember to pay attention in class in programing. This is also the first time I ever didn't get an A in an English class. The professor didn't like me though because I was unorganized and was late to class quite often, even though she did say that I'm an extremely good writer. :?

Congrats Tim, I'm happy you did well. I know you were kind of depressed for part of the semester, and it's admirable that you were able to keep it together and do well. I had...admittedly, kind of a rough first semester:

English: A
Biology: C
Economics: C
French: D
Math: S (satisfactory or unsatisfactory, it was non-credit so you either pass or fail)

I am terrible at foreign languages...I study but I still don't get a grip on it. I'm glad you were able to get more of a handle on Economics than I did. My class (actually microeconomics), started out seeming extremely easy and common-sensical, then, about a third into the semester, it really seemed to become more complex and got a lot tougher. Did you find your class the same way?

Either way, it's just my first semester, and I know I can improve, especially since I know how things work. It was the kick in the ass I needed.

Intro to Communication: A-
Writing Class (on natural law): A-
French 2nd semester: A-

I'm happy! It's my first semester of college ever, so far so good. I'm sure it will get harder. I go to Boston University. If I end up taking a math or science class, I doubt my grades will be as high.

You "lucky" stiffs. No grades for me yet. They normally come around the new year (my school is rediculously slow when it comes to lots of things)

Ditto. My second grade just showed up this evening, and finals ended the 14th.

Only three out of five of my grades came in, though I am pretty sure of the grades I will be receiving.

Maybe that'll help a bit? Sometimes books are....blah. Senior year of High School, both of my classes had confusing books that I didn't like...so if the teacher didn't explain it well, I wouldn't understand it at all.

For me in foreign languages, it helps when I try to understand their logic.

Math Analysis B+
Topology B+

But what do grades mean anyways.

Congratulations Tim!

I had a chuckle to myself as I imagined a Texan speaking French.

Probably as good as my nasal Aussie accent trying to speak French!

Congratulations to you all.

I myself got something like two B's and an A.

My A was in my P.E. class the B's - Digital Media and Intro to Business.

What I'm especially proud of is my B in my Digital Media class...

The previous two semesters I took and re-took another computer class and failed both times because I just couldn't follow through on my final project and the first one I missed my final exam because I didn't remember the correct time.

So this semester was a SUCCESS! And the next semester will be even BETTER! :D

Well, I'm looking at a probable 2.25 for this semester, so don't feel too bad. Ah, we'll get our act together in the Spring.

I took economics 102 as well (principles of microeconomics at my school) and got the same grade. As I said, it started out seeming really easy and "common-sensical" but partway through the semester it just got a lot more complex.
