I don't know what you mean by "liberal". Universities in my country don't have political agendas.

1. Trinity College, The University of Dublin
2. Dublin City University
3. University City Dublin
4. National University of Ireland, Galway
5. University College Cork
6. University of Limerick
7. National University of Ireland, Maynooth
8. Dublin Institute of Technology

The rest are barely worth mentioning. I went to Trinity College Dublin and I will do a diploma in DCU this year.

I'm not sure what the convention is in the US, but there's a difference between the first seven of those you listed and "the rest" along with DIT in that the first seven are universities. The others are not.

That's true. DIT is not a university but it is of equivalent quality to those universities outside Dublin if not the big three Dublin universities.

To clarify, not because of political agenda
but by the social conscious.

I wouldn't say it differs that much among the Irish universities then. Ireland is a small country (just under a third the size of Utah, with a population that broke four million last year) so I think it's perfectly natural that there can't be the same pronounced level of political factionalism as in the US. To give you an idea of this there are 43 parliamentary constituencies, and in all but three of them the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party won the popular vote in the last election (and of those three, two were within a margin of 1%). I attend Trinity and there is a perhaps more conservative element there in that the university stubbornly holds onto tradition the longest at a time of educational reform and the students seem to be perfectly content with this.

Ditto to the "no surprise" at UT Austin. Friggin' hippies!

I go to the school at the opposite side of the list... Southern Millionaires--- I mean Southern Republican--- I mean Southern Methodist University. We're getting the Bush Presidential Library if that's any indication of our conservative-ness. Disclaimer: I am an "on the fence" person in politics. I don't support a party or general opinion like liberal or conservative.
