Would I be better off in aviation courses?

I seem to be addicted to flight sims like FSX. And for the past few months that I've been flying one of the jets, I did a full-house style, responding to the control tower and even starting the game at the parking ramp rather at the end of the runway. And I've been reading about several aviation courses in some of the US's community colleges, and they even have simulator hours too. Does anyone think I'm a born pilot rather than a graphics guy?

I often lie to myself that I really love digital drawings of manga characters and such. I can decently draw them, but my heart's not 100% up at it. And I often feel quite hopeless by the fact that I'm not a manga guy like all of my friends in my class... The only reason I would draw them is to impress others, but I can't seem to impress myself drawing cartoons.

A few years ago I wanted to be a commercial airliner pilot, but I decided against it for many reasons. I'm not saying you shouldn't do it, but you might want to really consider what it would be like having such a crazy work schedule. But if that's what you really want to do, then go for it.

I may not go for commercial, but an alternative career of some sort...

A CAD operator for an aerospace company might be a good choice. it would merge your love of aviation with your intrests in computer graphics. Also check out John Frassanito and Associates, they offer graphic art services to the aerospace industry, maybe you can get on board with them!

Why not? I say you should try taking some courses, and you'll probably find out if it's for you or not during training, before you get locked into a career.
