I want to go to college. I'm thinking about it but is it worth it? I'd rather be making 40-50k instead of minimum wage 13k a year working part time. I tried vocational training schools but in every class I took i was rejected and teased by class mates I can't put up with other people messing with me. I took a break from school when I was kicked out of class because of the bullying. I don't want to go to college and have the same situation because of my aspergers so I'm weighting if its worth going to college or just being bullied or messed with for another 6 years. I don't like it. I'm only thinking about it because my mom is paying for my school using florida prepaid tuition and she wants me to go back to school. This really sucks...

Are you a quiet person?

I have Aspergers and I have never been bullied, teased, or picked on since I left high school. Well, ok, I have been teased a little for being overweight but nothing to do with Aspergers. I went to a college with 90,000 people for a two year program where the classes were usually 50+.

If you want to avoid being bullied, it's better to just keep quiet, observe which students are more like you regarding their personality, and try to become friends with them. It worked for me.

If you're a talkative person, I'm sorry but it's better to just lay low or else you'll just draw unwanted attention to you. At least until you make some friends in college.

Also, what do you think of taking in college?

I know a website that lists nearly every single occupation with a detailed profile and it also has a career matchmaker quiz that is very accurate.

Have you considered distance learning? I studied for my degree that way, which meant I could work and fund the study and that I didn't have to actually go in to university. I found it really worked for me :)

I find bullying at college to be a non-issue.

I had trouble in school for years. I went back a few years ago and did part of my classes online. Now I'm almost done with my master's degree! I recommend some, or all, online classes if you are really uncomfortable. But I did very well most of the time and didn't get bullied at all.
