Have any of you been to this website? You can learn anything and everything basically online, and the guy who makes them all explains it in laymen terms

www.khanacademy.org

I credit this man for my good grades in math. He makes it simple to understand and apply. It cut my study time in half, and I use the rest of my time for recreational activities. I love him! :D

I love this man. Spent so much time on that website; it's a wonderful place.

Oh! Word to the wise (or hopelessly lost as the case may be) Another awesome math helper is patrickjmt on youtube. Oh man, I was pretty much in love with that man all through calculus I and II - and I revisited the fling during some of intro diff EQ. I prefer him to khan for calculus, for sure. very clear, very helpful.

I use it all the time! I credit most of my biology knowledge to Khan Academy, and sometimes it's just cool to watch a video and learn something.

Does anyone here homeschool with KA? What's been your experience with it so far?

I take online college courses (basically homeschool since i am teaching myself everything), and his videos are exteremly helpful for my algebra. I probably would not be able to pass without khan academy ^_^.

Trying to help the GF with college and I have heard college instructors tell me 'off the record' that the Khan Academy is not promoted because a lot of teachers would be seen as the dinosaurs they are lose their jobs if it became popular. I can see why: what an incredible resource and I learned in minutes what took hours in a classroom!

I like the math practice section the best, an RPG layout and instant feedback on all your answers. I still like learning the traditional way as long as the instructor is knowledgable, a good instructor can really set the pace and keep the class engaged.
