My exams are coming up next week but I'm not a bit worried about them. I've always found that I do my best work during the exams. :D

Share your exam experiences here. Do any of you feel the same way I do during exam time?

In the next 2 weeks, I am taking 9 AP tests. That is not a typo. I basically get out of about 3 semesters of college if I do well.

I fear exams because it is what sparked my romantic needs of girls being better than I am whenever a hardship is significant enough to require me to break up.

However, chemistry is no big deal :D

My exams start Monday evening, I have one a day until Wednesday. I'm not at all worried, the crap I had to do the past couple of weeks made the exams seem like child's play, but all that is over now. :P

ok

1.. 2... 3.... breathe

1.. 2... 3.... breathe

1.. 2... 3.... breathe

you are having what is called test anxiety, and it is tapping into your AS..... anxiety will affect your mood and make you eat things not good for you/throw your food schedule off

working on breathing excercises helps this....

meditation helps this (yeah it sounds hokey, but it works)...

I can normally feel when I start to get overwhelmed, If it works the same for you, then at that point, start focusing on breathing. in. out. in. out. regulated, not too fast, not too slow, in through the nose, out through the mouth, do this for a minute or two, it should help. shut your eyes, it helps too.

this method also helps people relax enough to fall asleep.... lay down and concentrate on your breathing.... you can usually start to feel your lungs fill with air... and your brain slow down/clear... it takes a little longer than a couple minutes but you'll start to drift off

or concentrate on each individual muscle in your body to try to relax it... (easiest way to do this is to contract the muscle then relax it)... start from your toes up or your head down.... (visualization techniques) by the time you reach the middle you should be asleep (if you actually manage to relax your muscles). or at least i always am.

Trigger deliberate cognitive dissonance- that's how I overcome anxiety. Basically, tell yourself that you don't give a damn about the test, or that you're not at all worried about it. Eventually, you will believe this lie and the stress will go away.

I find that when I'm taking a test for "real", I do better than I did on the practice exams.

My exams are the week after next...and I'm not that worried, surprisingly.

Last semester, I was a bit of a nervous wreck because of the exams. I actually broke down in tears when I was talking to my mom about all my exams.

I remember after my last exam, I walked out of the building, jumped in the air and let out a joyful yell. Everyone was staring at me, but I didn't care.

My exams are approaching, too.

I always stress myself out horribly, though, and sometimes take "study aids" to help me stay awake and/or focus on my projects. It's horrible...

My goal for this semester is to get through exams without overdosing on caffeine pills or abusing Adderall.

It's going to suck.

My first exam is less than 48 hours away now. In this one, if everyone in class gets the first 20 questions correct, then she will give us all perfect scores. If my grade depends on a bunch of people that are only concerned with texting, then I'd better study my butt off.

I enjoyed writing exams for some reason. The feeling of competition and the chilling quiet in the room except for the buzzing of the lights and the scratching of pencils made me excited. I was also able to concentrate better because I knew this was the last thing I would be writing for school in a few months, so I actually relaxed and enjoyed it, knowing there would be no more after this and I would be free.
