IQ is nice, and is usually assumed for the Asperger crowd. Emotional intelligence (EI) is another scale that fascinates.

Last time I checked, 124. But I was sleep deprived so I guess that hurt my result a little (but not much. I think I might be 125, maybe, but not much more than that). I am gifted but I'm not a genius.

And I agree it doesn't mean much, even if we're talking about the intellectual sphere of life only.

The only time I took an official IQ test was in 2nd grade. The school psychologist gave it to me. Somehow I ended up only scoring 107 (63%ile). That makes no sense when you consider the fact I was 98%ile on the state math tests and 86%ile on reading that year...

I took one when I was five and my parents were having me evaluated to see if I would go to the magnet elementary school. I scored a 147. This meant that all of my "weirdness" growing up my parents easily attributed to me being "genius" because I was the smartest kid in the family. So my complete inability to empathize or form relationships was just called "being a nerd." Sometimes I wish I'd never taken that test. If they didn't know I was a "genius" (whatever that means) maybe I would have gotten some help. Who knows. (I might not even be AS, but SOMETHING is up with me, that I've known my whole life.)
