I didn't go to my prom. I actually got invited by one of my guy friends who had a crush on me, but I had to turn him down because I was absolutely dreading the idea of having to go to an event with all of my classmates who either hated me or had never spoken to me. And my senior class was huge (650 students). It would have been too much.

I managed to pursuade my mother not to make me go to prom, under the provision that I had a sleepover instead. Although, we have since compromised to going to library with a friend once exams are over.
