School trips (outings, ''field trips'')
It depends. I don't like going to the thetre, to a country or to the cinema, and I don't think I would like going on a school trip in another region that would last more than one day; but I enjoy quite much the trips in the countryside, at the museums, or when I go to a place where there are animals.

I really enjoyed field trips when I was younger. The first one I can remember was 1st grade - we went to the Seattle Aquarium (taking off from my old elementary school in Woodinville, WA) and I enjoyed looking at the fish and aquatic creatures, but what I really remember (ODDLY) was what my bus was. We took T-4, a 1994 Blue Bird TC2000 rear engine model bus. (my old district, Northshore School District in Bothell still has it in service after 20 years actually) Most trips in elementary school I don't remember the bus but I actually remember this one!
2nd grade we took a trip to a play in Kirkland (I think) of the book Corduroy. I recall the bus on that one as well - it was T-63, a 1992 Blue Bird front engine bus. (it's retired now!) We also went to the Pacific Science Center at the end of the year and watched an IMAX film about the ocean. (June 2006)
3rd grade was very fun. We went to the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery in November, and then went on an Argosy cruise around the Port of Seattle later on that year.
4th grade we went to a play or two, a trip up to Yost Park in Edmonds to look at trees, and a long bus ride to the Olympia State Capitol. (I also went back in 8th grade)
5th grade we went up to Padilla Bay Interpretive Center in Bayview (near Mount Vernon) and then a 3-day camp at Fort Casey State Park on Whidbey Island. Loads of camp songs, survival sessions, history sessions and a "joke show" - plus lights out at 10PM in bunk bed barracks!
6th grade we went to the Museum of Flight. We got to do a Mission to Mars simulation where we were teamed up with a partner and did the mission simulator. Different people got different jobs - there were loads of people who wanted to be a navigator, or on life support. My partner and I were on the communicators team. Loads of verbal communication between us and the other folks in the shuttle. We also took a Pike Place Market end of year trip.
8th grade was really fun. I took the state capitol trip again, and since I was in Bellevue, they used coach buses for trips which was REALLY fun! We also did a hike on the "Iron Goat Trail" which is a trail near Stevens Pass, following an old railroad.
