With my experiences, I can like school on some days, others....tolerate them.

My ability to become friends with my teachers help make more tolerable.

Of course it's how I made my freinds and learned to socialise (I got extra help with that outside of lessons).
Plus it's one step on the way to my dream and I love the learning.
Although I don't like it when substitutes come in and tell the class something COMPLETELY WRONG 8O and I have to correct them ... also there's a kid ien my English class who think personification is the answer to everything even if it's just a metaphore :x

I don't like substitutes either. The regular teacher and me learning are complements.

I dislike substitues, too. I met only 2 substitutes I didn't dislike during my school life.

I ALSO F***IN' HATE SUBSTITUTES! there was this one substitute who wouldn't let me go the bathroom when i was little and i pissed on the floor right then and there and that c**t didn't do s**t about it. and just when i thought that things couldn't get worse with all the harassment and humiliation from the other kids i've endured in school before that moment...well...it just did. a few days later, i came back to that same classroom with that same b***h-ass substitute and she acted as though nothing had happened. she never apologized for not letting me go to the bathroom and for the embarrassment i suffered from then on. if i ever find her i wanna give her an ass-whooping she never forget!

I've mostly enjoyed school. Had some minor bullying in the earlier years but had no real issues in the later years, which I found great. I also knew more people back then. Wish I could go back to those days...

Didn't want to be there since the first day of kindergarten (I'm in college now). Yes, I distinctly remember that. A big problem was and is having no interest in most subjects, though I still did and do well in all of them. Also all the forced social stuff (group projects, gym class). I'm not very fond of that. But the biggest problem was that it was forced. I have never liked being forced to do anything. As for the prison-like aspects, the fact that I noticed them at a really young age means there's a problem. I'm beginning to realize that the way students are taught is not natural. Other animals learn a lot by playing. I really think play-based learning would promote more positive attitudes towards learning, which would probably increase overall amount learned and remembered. Nor would it seem forced. That is key.

I like information but have a hard time getting along with people and result hurting from it academically, and emotionally.

I am exciting about the presentation on the Endangered Species Act, and report on the water quality.

In a modern education system, "communication" plays a big role. And people piss me off, even in my own majr. But it is possible to work on yourself. I would post examples later.

I liked going to school for the lessons and learning things, but I hated all of the rowdy classes, break and lunchtimes, group work, and the bullying. When I was regularly going to extra-curricular activities in lunchtimes and sometimes after school, I enjoyed those as well.

I hated substitutes as well, all they did was set some work then let the class get really noisy. They never knew anything either. I can think of some particular instances of useless substitutes, and the two instances where the substitute was in any way good.

School was okay, but Sixth Form, where I am now, is far far better! :D

I hate school. It's the only thing I ever have nightmares about. I HATE the lessons, especially maths. GCSE maths is just boring. And substitute teachers... one of them thinks that toads are reptiles 8O . What annoys me most is that I learn barely anything and I've still got another few years to go. I'll probably be having the nightmares for the rest of my life though... that's how much I hate it.

I like going to school because I like a lot of my subjects, my teachers are helpful, my classmates are friendly, and it's the only place where I can meet my friends! It's just lovely.
