Yep...you hit the nail on the head.

I can almost guarantee that you will understand the software quite well once you're actually USING the software.

That's how I learned to drive...through my own hands-on training.

Yep...the night school thing sounds pretty good.
That will no longer be possible. They rejected my application to night school due to a missing form. I will remain uneducated.

I'm kind of miffed about it because I'm nearly the only one of my peers without a degree. Many of them have double majors. Most of them are younger than me. It just makes me feel sort of like an imposter.

Can't you re-apply? Can't they "defer" the application until you obtain the missing form?

Such bureaucratic nonsense!! !

I think it's full.

I don't think I have the document they wanted (they wanted to see my Cert II from 2008 to prove that I had completed that course. They should know I did from their records).

They said I could do a semester 2 start but I'm not sure if that would be the same, starting half way through the year might put me behind.

It might cost you some--but can't you obtain Cert II records from the school? Can't you go in person and request them--they are transcripts. You should be able to have access to them.

I think it would probably be better if you started any course at the beginning of the school year

Yeah... I think I'm going to have to wait a year.

I don't think my education will be complete until I'm in my 50s.

:? Hmmm. I was sort of ambivalent about whether I wanted to work and study at the same time since some people say it's too hard but once I talked myself into it I was sort of looking forward to it.

I had a whole decade to study before landing this job but instead I was too busy being stoned on Risperidone.
