Join the club man. I wouldn't last a month in college. I don't think it's because i'm dumb or anything, it's just not my learning style. I'm the kind of guy who learns by doing hands on and I have to do something repeatedly before it clicks in my mind. When I go to a class and all they do is talk, the words just go in one ear and out the other. I just can't do that stuff. Not to mention i'm a relatively slow learner and I don't think I can process what people say as fast and I definitely can't process reading as fast. That's why I never got a good ACT score because of the time limit and i'm a slow processor.

Also I have trouble with getting things done as well. No way would I have been capable of going to college when I was 18. I would never do my homework because I have trouble starting things I don't want to do. I mean the only reason why I passed high school was because of my parents and my case manager helping me out and I had an IEP where I didn't get any grade reduction if I turned it in late. Iv'e gotten better at it though and I can definitely take care of myself and get things done its just sometimes I need a reminder.

School and academics was never for me and traditional college may never be for me. I have to find unorthodox ways to get an education.

Counselors are there to help instead of telling people that they are stupid.

In my opinion being bad at math does not necessarily mean that you have a Learning Disability although it is a good idea to get evaluated for dyscalculia (a math related learning disability) by a medical professional.

i'm 27 and all I have is a high school diploma, I feel it didn't start becoming a crisis-point in my mind when I hit 25, I feel that's when I realized the harsh reality of life is that it is very hard, very difficult, almost impossible to acquire a job that provides financial stability if you only have a high school diploma.
