I was glad someone started this topic also. Although I was ecstatic about the prospect of returning to school, it did bring about an undesired amount of distress. Lamentably, I didn't fair well, however after a respite from my studies, I will resume them in December. I am confident that I will do well, with the ensured assistance in place.

I wish you well also

I've been out of school for 6 weeks now, and my employer has decided where I will be working ,until I resume school in December. On Wednesday I will start work in an office I've never worked in, with people that I have never met- suffice it to say, I am extremely angst-ridden. I had requested that they give me a few days notice to mentally prepare for this, and they acceded to this accommodation. For school I had to meet all new people - this was an exacting task in itself, it took me months to talk to anyone in class (other than my lab partner). I made the resolution to do this (go to school, change offices etc.), knowing that the conclusion would be a job I would enjoy- but this doesn't mitigate the fact that I will now have to meet a whole new set of coworkers. I do have a union and employer that have assented to my request for considerations, but I am not sure what will make this transition on Wednesday less formidable.

Inspiring, interesting topic here, since i'm 27 and still no college degree, it didn't start hitting me hard on my mind like around 25, like I feel im going through quarter-life crisis.
