I loved large lecture hall classes most. Why? It was incredibly unlikely the prof would pair us off in groups to work. I HATE THAT!! ! People spend more time socializing than working and nothing gets accomplished. Lecture halls avoided this entirely.

If you don't like large classes, you can either switch to a smaller college or put up with them till you're a grad student.

I despise large classes in college. I wish there were only 3 people in all of my classes (me, myself, and I).

My perfect class size would be 30 to 60. There is a tolerable zone of 20 to 300. Anything below and above is a no go.

I prefer smaller classes over larger ones. I like classes were there are at least 25 people and you get the chance to individually ask your instructor any questions any time during lecture (e.g. Writing and Foreign Language classes). You don't have to wait until the end of class to ask any important questions. Last year my Genetics class was frickin enormous and it was the size of an auditorium (about 300 people I guess).

Large classes were better than smaller ones in many ways.

As long as I could get a corner seat in the back, I was fine. Nobody really payed any attention to me. If there wasn't much q & a time, all the better, less chance I'd be randomly called on for not participating enough.

Small classes, less places to blend in, higher chance of being randomly called upon, higher likelihood of group work....bleh. If all the professor did was lecture, I didn't mind them that much.

large classes are ok if you don't have to make presentations.

am could not cope in a class with a lot of people...too many sensory setoffs.
class size is not many at all, only a few because it's a SEN course, they don't allow a lot per class.

I have never been in a large classroom, so I wouldn't know.

I've had 2 courses (Freshman Cell Biology and Freshman Organismal Biology) in a lecture hall with 200-300 people and it didn't bother me one bit.

Large classes are fine for me.

I just hate it when they oh-so-friendly person behind me decides to put their feet up on the seat next to me.

Or when the guy in front of me stretches a full 180 degrees.

That kind of things more than just distract me; it really irritates me.

And yes...I did target guys. Girls almost always don't aggravate me as much

My biggest class was of 55 students, that's considered as a huge class because classrooms are too small.

I'm just wrapping up large lecture classes(~100 people) essentially for distribution requirements. Next quarter is much smaller classes - of 4 classes, there are ~100, 15, 5, and 4 people respectively. Two of the smaller ones are kind of obscure topics that most people don't take, and the third is freshmen writing seminar which is capped in size on purpose...

Usually larger class is better for non-major or classes I don't particularly like or do well in. Otherwise for something I'm interested in usually smaller is better because answering questions in class is better than answering on an exam. If you forget something minor in class you just don't raise your hand and answer that question but you can still do well at participation. If you forget something minor on an exam you get marked off regardless.

My largest class is 76 students, the rest of my classes have about 12-15 students.

I like it because I can chill towards the back with a coffee and the newspaper, and no one cares that I'm not talking to them or participating.

My largest class is 385.

The other three are around 40, 60, 60.

I don't mind, I don't feel the need to have a relationship with any professor. If I have a question, I ask it, I don't care what the class size is. And I've been in small classes where the professors despise being interrupted with questions, they simply don't field questions at all. It's usually the professor, not the class size. Most big classes have TA's, so you can ask away and email whenever you want.
