A teach once told my mom I was to stop "pretending" to read books "too advanced" for an 7th or 8th grader to comprehend, at the time I was reading about physics and philosophy books by Nietzsche.

Oh, God... that's pretty much the opposite of the truth. Idiot.

My math teacher, who alternates between being a really sweet person and a complete psycho, tried to get me to go to take special ed classes when my mom told her (against my wishes, I might add- I knew something like this would happen) that I was diagnosed with AS. Never mind that the only class I was having trouble with was her class, and that I was doing just fine in everything else. She kept insisting that if I went to special ed I could "gain the skills necessary to graduate" (already got 'em, kthanxbai) and "receive extra time and extra help on all my tests". Her class is the only one that I really need extra time on tests for- and that's just because I work slowly, not because I'm autistic.

I have gotten "Unusually behaved." to "You look like death." Both from teachers and very unpleasant to hear. The first comment was to my parents and the teacher was trying to hint that that my parents beat me to behave, and the other one was from my junior year and the teacher was commenting on my lack of facial expressions.

Also my first grade teacher called me "Pookey" and said I was slow to go outside to play. Hell, it was freaking cold outside, and instead of going outside to play I helped the janitor wash lunch tables down. Thinking about that really pisses me off.

Wow, that is quite possibly the stupidest quote I have ever heard by anyone, let alone an english teacher

Wow, I had a same incident. Around elementary, my parents came to school that was arranged by my teacher. They told them that I was well behaved but was easily distracted. So they prescribed me Ritilin. I guess Ritilin didn't help. About a year later, I struggled getting test and school work done at the same pace as other students. I was always the slow one, I then had a substitute yell at me when I was still doing my test. She said, "You should've studied and prepared yourself before coming here." I was red in the face and everyone was looking at me. Funny thing was, I studied and studied my butt off before taking that test. It was around 2nd grade. I will never forget it. I had passed it though. There were many incidents through the years similar to this only they didn't get mean about it. They'd just complain to my parents. :nerdy:

In 2nd grade, my horrid horrid teacher told my parents that I was "out of control" and needed to be put on ritalin.
("Out of Control" to her meant I refused to do an assignment).

My brothers first grade teacher said he needed to be on ritalin because he was "wild" and "out of control." However, my mom began talking to other parents at t-ball games and learned the teacher had said the same thing to the parents of every boy in the classroom, and about half the girls as well. I think that indicates it was way past time for her to retire

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Is she suggesting the great writers were not well read?

Reading a lot is prerequisite to writing, IMO.

Our elementary school counselor told my mom once, "I'm sorry Mrs. _______, but not all children can be the cream of the crop!"

Got that one all the time. That's how she diagnosed my inability to pay attention to her agonizingly dull lessons on equally dull subjects. It's like, "Excuse me for having a huge imagination that you can't seem to begin to stimulate!"

The usual stuff I guess, such as lazy. One time in the sixth grade I had this excruciating headache that I think was from stress of school and I could not even see straight to read and it hurt just keeping my eyes open in the bright lights in the class room. I told my teacher that I had a bad headache and he said "that is just an excuse to get out of the quiz" and didn't believe me. So I went back to my desk and just put my head on my desk and closed my eyes and covered up my head. Then my teacher came over to me and got really mad and started yelling at me about not working. This loud noise really made my head hurt worse and it hurt so much that it was just throbbing and I felt like I was going to throw up and this made me cry (the only time I ever cried at school). So then he went to my home room teacher and brought her to the room and told her that I needed to go because "He has a headache that is so bad that he is in tears".

Which has to be one of the stupidest things a teacher has ever said.

"He is enthusiastic, but needs to stop acting like an old man."

The stupidest comment I got was from my sons's teacher last year.

This teacher was an idiot who denied that my son had Asperger's (despite the Paediatrician and Psychologists report).

The teacher decided my son was just anxious, and

"If he would just learn to relax, he'd be more relaxed!"
