I love school- going to college gives you a chance to start fresh, and my school is very accepting of eccentric individuals. I've even told a few of my new friends about my AS and they're very understanding of it. I honestly couldn't see myself anywhere else.

On the contrary, high school sucked, but when you're stuck with the same people for so long giving the same negative impression in a world of conformity, it can be really difficult. If you love being in high school, then congratulations, I'm so glad you've found a place to fit in, and try to enjoy these moments as much as you can!
I guess my high school is like your college and my elementary school was worse then your high school (I hate rumors)

I would have enjoyed school much more before my adult years... heck... I'd enjoy it much more NOW... if I could walk into class at a time of my own choosing, sit in class as long as it held my interest, be able to either tune out the class and go to work on something without interruption, or be able to get up and go to another class when I felt it was time for me to leave.

Basically... going through school in accordance to my own attention span and not their time frame!

I really love school... I LOVE to learn!... they just don't seem to have a knack for scheduling things in a manner that works best for me.
lol, I would be in one class for days then :P

High school was great I actually had friends there(or people I considered friends at the time) and it was great all he classes were so easy I didn't have to study and really try.

College for me is terrible, I have no friends cause everyone is in these little clicks that are impossible to get into and not feel like an outsider and the classes are damn hard and I have to study a lot, which I don't mind just depends on the subject if I enjoy it or not.

I hope that's not my future :O
I'll always have my mom and my sister, so I won't be totally alone...*freaks out about future rejection*

I can be in the same predicament. I have VERY few friends in college and my classes and their classes can get very busy.

I hated school my entire life except for third and fourth grade when i spent most of my time working in the profound physical disability classrooms... it was like skipping 2 grades!

otherwise school sucked, kids were mean, teachers all sucked, curriculum was impossible to use, SCHOOL NEEDS TO BE MADE BETTER BEFORE I GO TO COLLEGE!! !

P.S finishing high school online

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

Hm, Honestly, I've hated school because it was such an experience...those long years of growth, etc...breakdowns...hm. ><
But I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. I grow up mentally, so many years...Best of all it's almost graduation time... So I'll be going to college and able to start anew. :D

Congrats on graduating!
It's hard, but worthwhile, as you learn so many things! I was the valedictorian for my class in grade 8, and I really reflected on how much I liked school, even with all the bullying I put up with :king:

High school's the worst, then undergrad gets better, but being a grad student is the best. I love it. Just wish I didn't have to work at the same time. Anyway, for you high schoolers, keep up the faith. You will graduate and move on and life will improve.
