Ermmm.... not really... i guess that im kind of an introvert, and didnt really make a whole lot of effort socially-living off campus , though it was quieter, didnt help here... There are plenty of societies to get involved with though, so you'd probably be able to find someone who shared your interests

Nico, while I remember, make sure you look up what you're entitled too from the disabilities services. I'm not sure if this is just my university, but it's been implied that it's law: I get a student room for all three years. It's really, really helpful: I didn't have to bother looking for housing (really stressful, especially in student cities like Cambridge), and I got to keep the same room so I don't have to worry about what my new room will be like. And I assume you're applying for DLA? You need to apply for it as early as possible to make sure you get stuff on time. I did fairly well out of them - I got a macbook because I have epilepsy and am doing an arts course so I need a mac, plus all the softwear I need. All of the other aspies I've spoken to at Brookes got laptops though, so that seems to be a fairly standard thing. The money for the tutor I have comes out of there as well, as well as money to pay for the internet in my halls.

It's becoming one of my obsessions too. ^^; Between the amount of friends I have in the two unis and the fact my brother is applying to pretty much the same range of unis as you applied to (but for bio-chem, so a bit of change for that), and my sisters probably will as well, it's not too bad a knowledge to have either. :3 I wanted to go to oxford before I decided that I wanted to do film.

Ooo, wouldn't that be cool to have him as prof!

From what I've found out, I will live in the same place for all 3 years too (I'll stay on university campus accomodation). Also, I already receive DLA and will apply for what I think is called a Disabled Student Allowance.

To update, I visited Goldsmith's University of London on Monday and was very impressed with the staff and the university as a whole so that will be one of the 5 universities I will apply to.

I meant DSA anyway. XD;; I get really confused by all the names. It's useful. But plan in advance to the meeting what you'll ask for.
