I prefer right at the back, preferably against a wall, and alone. That way nobody's behind me (I hate it when people are behind me), so I can see everyone ("hands where I can see em!" LOL). Also, the teacher can't see me reading under the desk, etc. And if I'm next to my friend, I can talk about stuff without the teacher overhearing.

I usually sat behind the fat girl, so that the teacher wouldn't catch me sleeping.

Front row centre if I can, since I like to be where there are no distractions and it's far from the drafty window. The exception was Japanese class, in which I sat close to the window so I could be close to a boy I had a crush on.

I prefer the back or around the middle (if its near the teacher's desk), I don't feel comfortable having people stare at me from behind really. Or sit wherever my teacher won't see me so he/she doesn't force me into participating in class which is murder for me

I have some general preferences, such as preferring to be towards the front and more towards the center-right. If there is a center aisle, I sit in the far-right seat in the center aisle. However, wherever I end up sitting, it *must* be the same spot always for that room, no matter how far it is from my typical preferences. Where I sit the first time I enter a room is where I will desire to sit on every subsequent visit to that room, and I feel uneasy and perturbed if someone else steals my seat.

When I was in college, most of the time I would sit in a place that provided me with access to an exit and was not directly next to anyone. I had a lot of anxiety and would sweat profusely during class and had regular stomach issues, so I wasn't the best person to sit next to. Being in a location that made me invisible to the professor was also a plus. Like others here, I needed to sit in the same place every day.

After I dealt with most of my anxiety, I would confidently stroll into class at the beginning of the semester and sit in the middle of the class to make myself more accessible to others in the hope of forming friendships (which didn't happen). I would still sweat profusely in class and still had stomach problems (stress?) which were even more uncomfortable when boxed into the middle of class.

No matter where I sat, I would regularly leave during the middle class and go outside by myself, which I found relaxing.
