I've met some pretty dumb nursing students. Psych majors also tend not to impress me. And then there's the communications majors.

The intellectual top dogs seem to go for engineering or pre-med.

That the best strip clubs tend to be near liberal arts schools?

Not to burst your bubble but I've met some real morons in both programs.

There are a lot of bars in San Marcos, but no strip clubs.

We have to drive 30 minutes to Austin for that kind of action.

But, I don't go to strip clubs.

Agreed, but fortunately, most of these programs weed out the real idiots before they get an actual degree. Unfortunately, I have known a few that got through just because their frats keep records of all of a professor's homeworks and exams.

No, I've met a few frighteningly stupid pre-meds as well. I was speaking in generalizations.

Usually, the more people in a program, the more idiots you will have in it just by sheer numbers. I still think that business is the worst just because 90% of business success relies on being very extroverted, socially appealing, and good looking. Intelligence doesn't come into play until the higher levels of business, and for the ones who aren't good looking or have lots of friends (IE bill gates, warren buffet).

What led me to this thread was an article called "Why Business Needs More Geeks".
Google for it and you will see it.
