Do/did you like to be around the teacher more than peers?

Yes, as the teachers are able to carry a conversation about things that aren't cliched "teenage" things. That said, some students are too.

Yes. I liked being around my teachers in middle school and high school and I still like being around them now as a college student. In my middle and high school days, I liked being around my teachers because they were very loving and affectionate towards me and I thought that felt good and comforting. I liked teachers more because I thought that they were nicer than the kids my age. I was shy around my peers because I thought that they'd be mean to me since they were in elementary school. I was comfortable with teachers because they would never bully me. Peers will judge you and be mean to you while teachers are more mature and respectful. Now I prefer certain professors over peers because they seem more interesting and less judgmental than my peers.
