is there anyone who downright hates fire alarms/drills?

The only reason I enjoyed fire drills to an extent was because they got me out of class for a while. The alarms were so loud though that I always felt like needles were piercing my eardrums. When I got my noise canceling earphones I would turn them up and the sound would not bother me. However, this did not please teachers as 'if you can't hear the fire drill then you could endanger yourself'. I believe that's a load of BS as those alarms are so distinctive and abusively loud that even with the noise canceling headphone I could still hear it. I would be threatened with detention for doing stuff like that but I never go. To this day I was supposed to serve about 3 weeks of detention and have never done it.

I actually find fire drills relieving, especially when I'm having a hard, tiring day. There's just something soothing about standing outside on the astroturf in the cool wind. The noise of the bells or crowds don't really bother me that much.

The waters of the port were choppy. After I set off, there was a long, massive storm.
Years later, however, the sea calmed. I'm still on tranquil sea, but I'll never reach the Neurotypical Beach.

I hated them, not only because they are extremely loud but because I had to stand outside in the sweaty heat for 20 minutes.
