I contemplated Prom. But Starcraft was the better choice.

I eventually got set up with two senior girls, so my only complaint now is I didn't dance with my crush.

All the dances i've been to, I've been no-mated.

You're lucky if you actually manage to enjoy something like that.

Apparently at my prom they played only rap music. How the hell does someone even dance to rap? I'd have an easier time dancing to the sound of a lawnmower or something than to that garbage.

 Meh...I never bothered with either prom. While I'd gone to plenty of other school dances in the past, those were merely an attempt to do something on a Friday night other than stay home. (I couldn't have just driven out to see a movie)
At the time I had very little in the way of financial resources and felt little need to shell out $60-$70 for a souped of version of the other dances with the added ruffles and candlesticks. So I just sat back and watched a group of middle schoolers perform "The Pirates of Penzance". Money and time better spent, I think.

Oh, and I also have to agree how irritating it is to listen to R&B at a school dance. I'll listen to rap every once in awhile, but they usually wind up playing either that pointless, drawn-out "baby-baby" crap or that mindless, overly repetitive crap like that tootsie-roll song. Like when they had a "tropical" themed dance! They played one or two bits of Bob Marley and then switched rihgt back to the usual. WHAT ABOUT ST. JIMMY?!

And the VP called himself a parrothead...

B. I don't go to normal high school anymore :(

I knew from day one I'd never get to go to my prom

I have no close friends at the high school I go to, I am not precisely wealthy, I dislike dressing up and getting makeup on and so forth, and I don't like situations where there's nothing I can go do save face if I can't strike up a conversation, especially if I can't leave on my own (no license as of yet).

Yeah, I didn't go.
