Thank you for the advice.

However, both my case manager and employment coach have suggested that I wait until my housing situation has been resolved before enrolling onto a course.

They are probably correct as late Iast year I wasted £230 on a computing programming course, which I failed to complete. I can be somewhat impulsive when I am feeling rather impatient in life.

Learning Java didn't come naturally to me, and I found the software incredibly frustrating to use. I think programming is suited to those who have strong visual skills and who are quite logically-minded - both of which I am not unfortunately.

OK, then bookeeping. And as you mature you'll develop into who you will be, whatever the interests. But be practical about job-focus. Find out where the needs are. You're not made for computers but there's the bookeeping.

Have you heard about Specialisterne? They teach you to write code. Employ aspies.

Right now it's extremely hard and I'm feeling overwhelmed. This is the first time I've done any online classes and I'm just not used to classes without seeing a teacher. My problem also is that I haven't developed a "system" yet of how to use my time. I'm getting very depressed. I'm holding B's in these classes and that's not what I want. The only thing that keeps me going is knowing that in the past I have actually flunked the first test and still came out with an A. I think one major thing that bothers me is that I don't get to meet any of these people - the atmosphere is very cold. Anyway, I have homework to do here pretty soon. Same thing, different day.

I have registered with Specialisterne, and they do have my CV on file. But again, I believe that they are more likely to employ or at least seek out those on spectrum who demonstrate strong visual abilities.

Much to my frustration, I am not convinced about bookkeeping either. My numerical skills are solid but they are far from perfect and bookkeepers need to be very attentive to detail, too. As I mentioned earlier, I make careless errors all the time and this would be unacceptable in a bookkeeping/accounting role.

If my GP does decide that I should be referred to an ADD assessor, I am hoping that they can prescribe me medication that will enhance my concentration.

Hmmm....yeah, i guess the next step is the doctor and add medication. Good luck, Jake. Keep insisting. I'm going to sleep now. It's midnite here.

I find that it was quite hard, especially since I moved to Germany from the US in 11th grade and started the IB right after. I had been in an IEP for some classes so it was a breeze when I was in the states, but I found out soon after that my days of laziness were over, and those two years were the hottest hells of my life.
