it looks like I'm headed for sunny Florida.

Heh, that first thing really doesn't surprise me. XD
But yeah, that in mind, I CAN see why you'd want to go to Florida.
Reminds me of my school's current HS Valadictorian: took 3 AP classes in 10th grade, 6 in 11th grade and 4-6(?) AP classes her Sen. Year and usually has all 97%+ XD

Or this one kid my math teacher met who mastered the first 3 years of Calculus by age 15. He went on to UPenn with her and double majored in Electrical Engineering and Bio-Med Engineering, "two hardest majors at one of the hardest schools" and he just spent all his time playing video games, yet still pulled off higher grades than her. XD

Orwell, what exactly will your major be? My school is rather small, so there's only a plain 'ol "biology" major, but can you specify to an extent at Miami?

I picked RIT only because it would have less distractions, sure its cold in the winter, and its a complete sausage festival, but its safer then Phillidelphia, and its not Miami which is full of drunken frat boys

At Miami, my major would be microbiology and immunology (that's one major). At RIT, it would be biotechnology, and at Penn I would have to be a biochemistry major to take advantage of the honors program they've offered me.

That sounds exciting, do you plan to get involved in research?

Yes. Penn and RIT have already offered me paid research jobs, but UM probably has more opportunities for research because of their medical school.

Awesome. I was just given a research position as well (it's not paid, but it can fulfill credits). What field does UM do research in?

Just about anything, it depends on which faculty member you want to do research with. They have a huge research program in paralysis (the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis) and lots of other stuff as well.
