Does anyone else HATE socialising as much I do?

It all depends on the people and the venue. Most of my classmates are mature and intelligent people, so that's ok, but sometimes the event is basically mingling and sipping drinks for a few hours (no thanks) and other times it's something more nerdy (sure ok). In general, I don't think I *hate* socializing, though there are definitely some kinds of socializing which I prefer to avoid, and some that I'm open to.

Oh I know kind of how you feel. I kind of expect it around here.

As for me, I am very picky at who I socialise with. The select few I talk to, I enjoy their company. I loath many forms of socialiseing, however. (forum socialising aside.) People ignorant of what's it's like given me everything from "Hey let's act all friendly, maybe it will get her to speak." to bold demands.

I generally hate socializing, but it really depends on the person and setting. If I get into a conversation with a mature, energetic college classmate; its cool. Although I did attend senior prom...but that was only because I wanted to be with my friends and make the end of my year memorable.

I am increasingly unable to socialise. I hate it.

I am meant to be out there right now and I can't stand it. Especially when people make comments about me when they don't even know me, they don't even know who I am. But I''m going to have to go out again and show my face.

Next year this is going to happen more - I am forcing myself to go out and socialise. Hopefully it will work because I am over feeling this negative and worried every time I am around people.

If you like Wrong Planet, you don't hate socializing. Wrong Planet is a social network.

I experiened a very brief thawing period. A Spring period, during my initial run with college I did manage to loose up but very very breifly. As later that year I quit a program that involved me to live in close proximity with others and felt they were perscuting me. If only I had a time machine lol.
