I don't hate them, but I don't like them. Mostly they just irritate me, rather like flying insects, I don't like them but I don't really hate them either, because if I hated them I would have pay even more attentin to them.

I suppose so. Pretty big change, but it's not my concern.

I'm more confortable with children than with anyone else. But everything becomes creepy when they become teens. I think this is because they re-discover sexuality problematics, have to be in their social group, etc. I mean, teenagers are not evils, but their life often makes them behave like ones.

OMG :wall: ! THANK YOU OP!! !! ! I do not know why but I too cannot CAN NOT stand teenagers either. Girls are just so self absorbed and catty and the boys are just... well not really sure why I don't like teenage boys but I just don't like teens as an entire age group. I started disliking them when I was about 17, for no particular reason I can either explain or rationalize I just really really can't stand them and don't like them.

UGH.
The average teenage girl in my school talks in class and does nothing else. She can't solve problems, think in abstract ways, or properly insult someone.
"Bless you, oh wait, I take that back."
The average teenage male (and it helps here that I am male) is interested in getting work done, though there are bad exceptions.

Depends on the age of the teenager. Since going to college I've noticed that everyone's getting a little more mature and accepting, so I can't sympathise with the OP as much as I would have a few years ago.

I can't really agree with the sentiment on this thread. Yes, some teenagers are annoying, but some people are in general.

Most teenagers get more mature and accepting over time, as well.

I agree with the first poster in the fact that to be honest, most NT teenagers are boring t be around and waste valuble time socializing. Do they not rearlize that I would rather be scripting in bash than listen to them drone on aobut how they abuse there teacher all day???

I am in college right now, and surrounded by teenagers. I don't remember being that annoying when I was their age.

I feel your pain.

Am I the only one (ironically a teen myself) who cannot STAND being around teenagers. I am at college and they are everywhere. It is like a plague! I wish that I could be with adults who are really mature and WANT to do the work but I am stuck with a bunch of annoying complaining things which like making lots of noise (I hate noise) and doing everything they can to avoid working. The whole idea of going to college is WORKING!! ! I think it is about time that social life and academics is seperated...

The people at my school....in my part of the campus anyway, were quite mature. My school was not known as a party school and I would not have gone to one that was.

Occasionally though I'd run into a big group of freshmen, and you could always tell they were freshmen because they congregated in these large groups, were loud, and dressed in novelty items which helped define their image in highschool. They usually grew out of that quickly though.

I'm 19, recently a college dropout. I cannot even begin to tell you the hell that the kids in the high school I went to put me through. Generally, I enjoyed college more, but I realized much of what I wanted to study was just a matter of going out and buying a textbook and some art supplies and getting in there and doing it (I want to be an artist). For the most part, the kids in college were a lot more mature, with the exception for one class which drove me up the wall with the immature teens.

Speaking on behalf of teenagers...most of us are lazy sometimes.

We come with different degrees of laziness, and for different reasons.

Thank you.

I've always hated teens of the NT variety, and I always will. They're stuck up, they're materialistic, and most of them don't know how to speak the English language, properly.

The problem is that they care mre about socialization. They will be fake to try to succeed socially, and they care much more about all the social skills and rules that you might struggle with. It's a lot easiar to keep up with people who are being "real" then "fake". Some of it is finding the right people, and not assuming that everyone is the same way as those who are 'fake".
