To be entirely blunt, education is the new way of bragging and getting the false satisfaction of being better than someone else. Anybody who is a mediocre student or better goes to college or university. Anybody who is a mediocre student or better and has the guts to go for a second round of academic abuse does post-graduate studies. At the end of it all? We bestow titles upon these people. "I'm a medical doctor!" "I'm a banker!" "I'm an engineer!". Sounds fair, but society revolves around earning these titles like it's the only way to live life. Bill Gates dropped out of university, Stephen Hawking never made the honor roll in high school. Let's ignore those kinds of people though! Moreover, when they earn those titles, they consider themselves above you. If you correct a medical doctor, they shrug you off. If you argue with a professor, it doesn't matter who is right, because the professor has the degree! Ungh, when will people wake up?
