Since I've gotten a girlfriend, really my first. I've been getting out allot more and doing things. Especially kissing stuff.

Now Monday I am going to college to sign up for independent studies. One class at a time as I am incessant about only getting A's. Additionally I am re-integrating myself into the process slowly rather then overwhelming myself.

State rehab because it didn’t want to bother putting any in-depth effort into me, suggested I get a job picking up trash. I've never been as insulted before, well a few times.

You really want the book though, especially the bit that says about how employers get workers. Ie assisted job placement for rehab people is one of the last places they'd go. And they probably list jobs there that require no skill or great effort or any thinking ability.

What might work better is if you use what resources you can to find out what kind of job you think you could do and like doing and then use your college careers people (along with your own research skills) to help you get it. Like get them to do the things you find hard like phoning up and finding out if the company is hiring, and arm the careers helper with your company research about what they do and why you'd be an asset to them.

I don’t believe I am incompetent at all. At the customized employment training state rehab was there and so was the regional center, my rehab councilor was sitting to the table behind me in the closest chair. The speaker picked on state rehab.

I e-mailed him the following day and said I do not feel confident in your ability to place me. I did at one point did manage to get two jobs by calling most of the employment agencies in Fresno California, that's allot. Even being taken to them, I spent more time trying to get a job then being able to work at them.

I’ll never drive I don’t believe, but if I can get interested in college half as much as I was interested in a college preparatory private school I was in, then that will be my career for a while. I’m looking to work for the government.
