Procrastination
OKAY. So I have to-do things everyday and I need to get them done. I feel like I procrastinate during my homework time.
Schedule:
3:30 - Come home from school
3:30 - 4:00/4:30 - Quick [1/2] hour of MapleStory
4:30 ~ 7:50 - homework block (3 HOURS and 20 MINUTES, I can get it done but I procrastinate
8:00 - 9:00 - Watch TV, Will & Grace is on (NO COMPROMISE for those days when its on)
9:15-9:50 - perhaps a bit more homework
10:00 - 11:00 - more WAG
11:00 - sleep
If I don't procrastinate, I have about 4 hours to focus on my studies, but lord knows why I still do homework during lunch period at school. Ahh, its the 2nd week of school and I'm feelin stressed.
OMG, I procrastinate too much. I need tips to budget my time. BTW, TV for 1 hour a day is minimal. Must get my WAG. I can live playing MapleStory for only 15 minutes a day to reopen my in-game store (gotta run a business).
My friend tells me I'm too obsessed about MS, but in reality I'm not on THAT much. too much forum lurking. Although I might not get alot of help due to most aspies being super smart. (I'm just so-so in intelligence) I am a junior in HS with absolutely no AP classes, only class I have close to being hard is Pre-Calc. O.o

I procrastinate so bad that I have to wake up at 5 and use stress as a motivator to finish my work. I quit last week because last year was too much. I'm going into homeschool now. Heres a video I made yesterday explaining my situation If you wanna watch but I only mention procrastination as one of the reasons I quit school. Its the main reason though. I'm not really the right one to offer advice on not procrastinating <grin>, but here's a tip:
Break down your homework into a list of all the specific parts, while you're still at school. Then work through the checklist, one by one.
I find that I procrastinate because I'm organizing what I have to do in my head, and I can't get started until I have a complete picture, but I'm very easily distracted at that stage, because the universe just has too many possibilities. Once I start working down the list, I go into 'focus' mode, and can't stop until I'm finished.

Lol, I already do that mental checklist. I go by class order and difficulty and I usually don't miss anything unless I didn't hear the teacher say what the HW is. I just realize I simply can't focus @ home. I have like a whole hour to do homework (most math, luckily I have it last) during break and lunch so I think my problem is solved until the big projects & assignments come in.
I suggest you don't spend time on Maplestory right after school and before doing your homework. From my personal experience, it's harder to concentrate on mandatory work after spending time with your special interest. Forcing yourself to wait until your work is done before doing something you want to do will also motivate you to finish your work faster.

Another tip is to do some work at the library.
Or spend any hours in between classes (or if the first class of the day starts late, get in early (e.g. 8-9am)) at the library.
Bring homework for one or two subjects with you and try to do as much as a you can in that time.
I find working at the library to be much better for me as I have no distractions (like special interests, movies, the internet etc.) around me and so I can finish my work a lot faster (and I always feel like the librarian is keeping an eye on me:p).
Apart from that, because I get to finish so much at school, there's a lot less stress when I get home as I only have a couple of minor things left to do.
And breaking up your homework/studying in manageable bits is a good idea as well.
E.g., spend 30-45 minutes studying and then have a 15 minute mini break (I use these breaks to eat/drink, talk to someone quickly or to watch part of a show online (youtube is good for this as each show is divided into 10 minute sections). After the break, go right back to studying. Set a timer if you have to. And take NO excuses (e.g. just five more minutes.... I want to see what happens next... etc.)
Eventually you'll get used to this routine.
I usually spend about 2-3 hours studying at home (breaks included), so I get to watch 1 episode of my favourite show in between and as a reward I let myself watch another one once I'm done:D
I've also just learned how to make a weekly and monthly plan.
this is also good to keep you focused as you can track down exactly how much homework is left to do and it allows you to spread out your homework so it doesn't seem as overwhelming when you start it.
