Annoying situations at school
I want to explain annoying situations at school and if possible have you advice me on how to handle them better next time, or just some comments are good as well.
Today we had to do presentations in front of the class, I used to hate them, now I just dislike them.
I have 3 friends, which now aren't that close anymore as a few years ago, which I did the presentation with.
one of them also is asperger, but last year he drawed a lot of attention of the teachers by not doing tests when he doesn't understand something, and his psychologist went to school to explain all about asperger's syndrome and what is up with that friend. Everybody now knows he has asperger and every 'strange' thing he does is accepted by NT's, no making fun out of him when he talks in a strange manner, when he walks on his own etc.
Yesterday when the class was over, I walked out of the classroom, and then they slowly walked behind me and without telling me they appointed to prepare the presentation at one of their houses, in a village 5 miles far. I didn't really feel like going there for organizing a presentation while we can do it online or at my house, which is close by to school, so it frustrated me that they didn't involve me in doing it.
The next day (today) we had to do our presentations, I prepared my stuff well.
Then we were opening the powerpoint file in front of the class, and when that was done, they still had no idea who would do the intro and who would do it (they should have done that on beforehand, not WHILE doing the presentation), and after a long pause the other aspie would do the intro. I swear if I talked exactly like him and with the same strange intonations, people would laugh at me, nobody laughed at him, but kept quiet. When it was the next persons time to talk there was a pause again, and they didn't know which slide the should do on the powerpoint, just a little background talk, so they skipped a few slides until they did know. Then that person talked too soft, some people from class told him to speak louder, so he did. The other aspie had to talk again, he did in a really strange manner, and when he was finished, there was a slide similar to mine showing on the screen, with a similar subject, so I thought it was mine, so I went in the middle and started talking.
I was interrupted by one of my friends that it wasn't mine, and I heared a sound from the class room, multiple people like booing 'Ooooooooh', (meaning of the 'ooooh':*sigh* are you stupid?), but it turned out it was a mistake from theirs, that slide shouldn't have been there, it belonged to no-one, so the next slide came and I started saying my stuff, after a short while I didn't know what to say anymore, so I looked on my paper for like 10 seconds, much less time than the rest took, still I heard some frustration in the back of the class. When the presentation ended the teacher said I did a good job, and a class mate which is kind of popular also did.
But the things that happened really frustrates me and my strong feelings of punishing injustice come up, because the other aspie is looking like a geek, acting like a geek, being a geek, not sportive, more introvert than me, is not facing humiliation and gets more attention, I guess because people think that the fact that I talk much more normal, am very sportive, I look normal, wear normal clothes, means that I can't make the slightest mistake or I will face a sneer or w/e.
I hope I made my story understandable and if not, feel free to ask questions.
