Question about dorms.

I know every state and also every school is different but I was curious how is disability handled? Mine's physical (knee/other issues) mental (AS social issues with that and I was diagnosed Bipolar 2) I don't want special treatment with wheelchair bound people or the mentally ret*d or serious issues but I know due to my physical issues living with "normal" students might not be possible. Thanks. (Like what if you needed insulin shots etc.) I don't but for example needing a medical item along at all times kind of issue.

I tried to apply for disability in college but I got rejected because they wouldnt acknowledge I had one. I had just been diagnosed so it could be that I didnt know what my disabilities were or that I filled out the application incorrectly.

I dunno if they'll let you have a handicap dorm room on account of a knee problem (unless if you really ARE in a wheelchair). But hey your University might be different and you might get lucky.

If all else fails, you might just wanna chuck the extra money to get a regular dorm room for yourself, preferably on ground floor and close to the entrance as possible.
