If you're reading the title of this blog, you're probably wandering what exactly do I mean by "stupid people". Well, what I mean when I say "stupid people" is those students in school who act like idiots in the classroom to get attention. :x It's so annoying. These certain people usually talk out of term, talk while the teachers talking, make smart ass remarks to any question or shout random and idiotic stuff in the middle of class. To all you would be class clowns out there, I say to you that if you don't want to learn that's fine. But keep your stupid, smart ass comments to yourself. But thing I really hate them doing is shouting random stuff out in the middle of class. I remember last year in 9th in my health class that this one idiot had the audacity to shout "I HAVE A BONER!" in the middle of class. Also, when we were watching a video about a suicide survivor who jumped off a bridge, the teacher asked the class about how the survivor might have felt after the attempt and this dumbass said "She was probably thinking, 'I'm still alive? Aw man!'." just to get a laugh out of everyone in the classroom. Now, I'll tolerate talking out of term, but when you mock a suicide survivor, you're crossing the line. And no, the joke was not funny at all. If you have this kind of problem, please describe your scenarios to me.

Yes, there was always an overabundance of these types, in school and even in college. The only difference was that in elementary school, they were not content to just disrupt the class. They also had to bully and persecute any student who showed signs of being genuinely interested in the subjects that were being taught.

Uh-huh. Yep. I hear you. I know exactly what you're talking about. I hate that type of kids. They're REALLY ANNOYING. Their comments irritate the teacher, too, and then the teacher has a short temper and snaps at anybody, and then nobody's having the least bit of fun, except for the idiots who made the comments in the first place, they think it's funny when the teacher is mad...

Really, we're in school to learn, some of us actually want to learn, so save your stupid comments for when we're not in school and I don't have to hear them.

Haha, I love this. It completely undermines the whole concept of public
education. It`s one of the reasons I could never take schooling seriously . . .

Example:

In my class, they`d tape the door shut w/ the teachers scotch tape while the
teacher was away and forage around in the teachers desk for stuff to steal.
It is so hilarious looking back at it, realizing how badly some of the teachers
I had were treated by these kids, and just took it. Traumatizing for me, as a
student, because I was there to learn, unlike most of those losers there, and
I was having to witness, as almost a dayly occurance, an "authority figure"
being put down and bullied by the people he was supposed to be in charge of.
Even the principle there was getting called s**t to his face w/ 0 consequence.

The school authorities are becoming so emasculated. The ones who even /try/
are almost always loathed. Heh, these days teachers have to dumb down their
curriculum to almost elementary levels in order to be popular and respected
by their students. In high school I had two, maybe three teachers teaching me
at a grade 1 level (I knew this because I just had to look at some of the text
books and see, grade 1 written on there). I had one biology teacher taht gave
out "study preps" w/ virtually all the answers in the upcoming quizzes and the
tests in there. And I mean every test, even the finals. Needless to say, they
just loved him. Most disruptive class ever, even the teacher was joining in on
it. 8O

Loved that class. I almost got 100% in there. Just two percentage points shy.

A good joke? Your entire post lacked any of those good jokes. Sorry to say I didn't find a single one of those jokes funny. Class clowns are more disruptive than anything. They blame on your Aspergers too? That makes it even worse. Your giving the rest of us a bad name.

I am sure you are not a significant person, meaning you blaming your aspergers for "trying" to be a class clown isn't going to impact how I'm treated or reguarded. That being said, why would you want people to believe your thoughts are uncontrollable? So you can make a few "jokes"? Thats down right sad. I don't mean to judge but man, you are low.

I remember back in high school, every now and then a student would get up onto the top of his desk, and while on his desk would jump up and down on his toes screaming a high pitched scream at the top of his lungs while flailing his arms around. He was the most popular student in the whole f*****g school, it was as though he had celebrity status.

It gets back to them. Last I heard he had gotten into the school's talent show when a death metal band let him perform with them, playing the triangle (no joke). He unintentionally took a back flip off the stage and into the most pit (sad schools today would allow those, but I would assume that would have calmed the f***** down).

I'm fortunate in that I go to a small school, and am in the final year of high school. For the most part, we have a good ethos where most people are serious about learning. Still, I remember primary school days like some of the things described here... even if for the most part those memories are suppressed...

AS may be giving a false alarm, but from some of the memoirs here, it sounds like there's some anger about some of the staff for not doing anything ("just calm down, we'll try again tomorrow, etc."). My mum's a teacher in a special school. At least in Australia, teachers in general drown in red tape. They can't touch the kids. If a full-on fight breaks out, their training (and all they can do legally) is to move onlookers away so that it doesn't escalate. Same goes for tantrums, and yelling in most circumstances just makes it worse - either it gives the child the attention that they want (which reinforces the behaviour) or it makes them confused/angry (which just causes the situation to escalate).

Quote:
actually i don't blame on aspergers they do. I just pretend i am not listening. They are talking to the aspergers class teachers - no one in that class ever gets suspended. A kid smashed a window, broke a globe and tore apart an entire class - forcing evacuation - but the vice principal said "calm down brendon, you are in no trouble. I just wanna talk to you about you about how to control yourself. you mom is coming to get you - there's no consequences, just go home and try again tomorrow.

Fixed it up so it's a bit easier to read

And this is the power of labeling. For one part, people just instantly blame it on the aspergers. Similarly, from what I understand, Brendon is a "special needs kid". Teachers won't go anywhere near that topic with a ten foot pole. "It's his disability that is causing it. It's not his fault." He'll get away with tantrums etc when what he needs is clear boundaries and structure.

High school? Wow. I would have expected this in grade 4.

When I was in high school, my classmates talked about bum darts and angel kisses. They also talked about stroking one's self. Some boys in my grade 8 drama class had the nerve to ask me if I've been stroking myself, lately. They alomst turned me inside-out, every time.

Well fortunately for me I didn't have any of these "class clowns* going through school. My "stupid" people are jaywalkers. I hate watching someone, like halfway between two lighted and signalled intersections, and by half way I mean like 30 seconds' walk from either light, crossing in the middle of the road rather than taking the thirty second walk to either light but that pisses me off nowhere near the extent to which it pisses me off to watch someone I'm waiting at the same light as, completely disregarding their signal still being the stationary pedestrian symbol and crossing when the motorists have the advanced signal for left turns. However I guess I'm equally as "stupid" for hoping to see the day when one of these people gets hit by a car and fantasizing how I'd point and laugh if that happened and it was an unmarked police car they got hit by, in fact that would only make me laugh harder.

Anyways that's my "stupid" people rant.

If the school system was different and you'd need to fill up a schedule with subjects that actually interests you or can have at least a slightly more practical aspect to it than the stupid brain washing funneling system school is. What and how you like to learn is very personality dependent and individual.

I prefer learning to school, and stay up at the middle of the night to nerd on different topics. f***s up my sleeping pattern and attention. But f**k it. If the world isn't made for you, you just have to strech it a little. And those nights of intense focus are wonderful!

PS: The hyper kids drove me crazy during spanish lessons. Argh!

i know the type. the good news is that that kind of s**t is not tolerated in college so that will be the end of that problem (and the beginning of different problems).

look at it this way: those kinds of dumbasses make school a lot easier for us smart people by dragging down the average so in a way they're doing you a favor.
