Feel like worst day ever!
Sometimes I get days (or moments) were I feel useless, stupid and ugly. (This post is more a I dont understand why I fail at that and I want asperger opinion.)
Today it was triggered by this: We had an exercise were we need to find scentences In stuff like this (tdy ll g t th tlt...) = (today Ill go to the toilet), I could not do it, and what made it worse was that the rest could do it.
I also have alot of problems with grammar (the dutch grammar, main language of my school).
I understand it it, but I fail at actually doing it.
I will make a very easy list in what I'm good and bad at of every subject. At the moment.
Rated by this: good, decent, bad.

- Speaking=> Ability to explain, ask, talk in a language.

Science + informatic subjects
Mathematics: very good at understanding concepts, I usually see what I need to do, but I got problems performing it. I got problems with stuff like this: 'a+b(2ab)^', etc.
First we got a math problem, I find it alot before the other, but then there is some 'minor math' how the teachers call it with stuff like the above. They say 'just work it out', but I just can't.
Biology: good
Geography: decent
History: very good
Informatics (computer, etc): very good
Economy subjects (my education is economy oriented) :
Accounting: decent
Economy: good
Office education: good
Sales: very good
Hi there,
My native (and only) language is English, and when I studied the subject at school, I was terrible at it. I'm terrible at close reading because it's so ambiguous. For example, we would be asked to explain why the writer of a passage of text decided to use a particular word and I wouldn't know what to say because there could be many different reasons why they used the word. By contrast, I was better at understanding literature and better at writing essays and short stories. I'm better at analysing a story for it's content rather than how the language is used.
It might be that you are not a lingustically minded person, but also your difficulties could be related to your autism (considering that language deficits are common).
Try not to beat youself up about this. I had to re-sit english and I still didn't get the results I wanted (even though I did fine in the prelim and I worked a lot harder that year). Also, I am absolutely abysmal at mathematics and am so bad at organising myself that I did poorly in the last couple of years of school. Somehow, I'm still studying a degree despite my difficulties with language and organisation. Everyone feels stupid from time to time and you seem far from stupid considering how well you are doing in your other subjects.
You might find more support in the adolescent forum.
But I also wanted to back up MindBlind's comment: some of us are not as proficient with foreign languages as others. My autie mother can learn a foreign language fluently after a week in that country. I, on the other hand, spent 6 years in school and a semester abroad trying to learn French, and still never could have a conversation with someone. There could be an auditory processing disorder going on.
So why are you in this school learning so many languages? Do you live in Belgium?
You seem to excel at writing lists, though!

Yes I live in Belgium.
Btw I'm very good at picking up languages (foreign), when we learn it by reading, talking, listening etc.
But I suck at the grammar rules.
The rules in English are by far less difficult then in French or Dutch..
Okay the rules in Dutch are easy too, but its more stuff like this were I got problems in dutch.
Exem: 'Timmy likes fish and he also likes his father" Then we need to put the phrase in [Timmy] subject [Likes] PV [And] BwBep in this phrase etc. Just examples, and we do it in Dutch not in English.
I love Belgium. I'm thinking of visiting family in Holland this summer, maybe I'll stop off in Belgium.
You wanted aspie advice, so here's mine:
You excel at a lot of subjects, so stop worrying about areas where you are weaker.
I know aspies tend to worry obsessively, so that can be easy to say, but harder to do. Remind yourself when you get a grade you aren't happy with, of the areas that you excel at.
And French grammar (notice the spelling) IS difficult.
