Have you ever wanted to visit a school that you used to attend (elementary, jr. high, high, or college) just to walk around the halls for nostalgic purposes?

I've been wanting to visit my old preschool for a while, just so I could walk around the halls and see what's changed and what's still the same. It's been over ten years since I've graduated from that school, and I've only been on that campus once since I graduated (when I was in the 3rd grade).

The problem is, none of the teachers I had are there anymore (except for one), and I'm not sure if that school allows visitors.

Lots of former students visit their old schools - just check first to make sure it's okay, and to make sure your timing would work for them. You don't want to show up while they're on break, or when they're having an assembly or something ...

Well, if I were you I would definitely ask permission first!

I went to visit my old elementary school without permission….

I didn’t want to attract attention so I wore a hat, dark glasses and a trench coat with candy-stuffed pockets whilst carrying a puppy.

The visit did not end well.

I want to visit my old schools and help them become more autism-friendly. On bad days I want to visit my old schools and vent anger that none of them helped me with my mental health issues, or were blind to how much help I needed.

Just go into the office, and ask if it's okay to visit. If not, then don't go in and leave immediately.
