Hi Guys and Gals. Now I know that this may be a little bit of an strange thing for me to say, (partly due to the fact I'm no longer at school) but as it happened I had a a (more or less) happy time as a child (thinks to my being dieggnosed at the tender age of 9!) And I even had quite a few friends, both at mainstreem and at 'Autisic school' (as I used to call it back when I was a kid) as I happened to be very freandly to those who were nice to me but they'd be hell to pay if any kids tried to bully me!! !! !

Anyway I was just wondering did any of you have a childhood sweetheart(s) (i.e. a boyfriend or girlfriend) I don't mean to get all personal but I was just wondering, that's all?

I for a start had two (who'll sadly have to remain nameless) the first one was a girl that I knew at mainstreem primery that I met on my first day there we were good friends and we even stayed togerher with until my last day, (that's how loyal I am you see!! !)

Years afterwords she got married to another man, and I hope that they are both very happy.

In my next school (which was an 'Autistc' one) I met another girl (who had AS, as although most of the kids there were VERY Autstic there were a few Aspies there too) of whom I had a similer long term relatioship. As we were both getting into the teenage years we both became intserted in sex (as teens often do) and we'd play all kinds of games the like of which I'm sure you'd guess were of a 'blue' tone

One time she even dared to go as far as to show me her bra (with the intention of showing me her boobs) in school asemulely!! !! !

As it happened there was another happy pair of (Aspie) kids (one boy, who was as boyish as a boy can be and one girl who was the sweetset thing you'd ever hope to meet, even if she did mimic girls from movies a lot, she still was very girly anyway) who were always playing together and were planing on getting married when they grew up. I don't know if they did in the end, but it would be cool if they did end up doing so...

I hope that you found this post intersting (sorry if it was a little rushed) and that you can tell the world some (love) stories.

Goodbye, Till Next Time

Ha that's really sweet. :) Seems like you had very intimate relationships with your childhood sweethearts. I myself did fancy one boy at choir. He is about two years older than me and I was still very autistic when I first met him, when I was about ten. The main kind of girl boy relationships I knew about were Disney princess ones, where the princess falls in love with the prince on first sight or whatever and they almost immediately get married, having not interacted with each other very much. I thought this was pretty much what happend in real life, so I tried to show him that I loved him (even though I didn't know what he was like at all). I gave him loads of flowers but he didn't seem to get the hint. Just before I was about to do my choir concert I got to talk to him and I told him I loved him. He laughed. I wasn't expecting that kind of reaction. I would have expected him to say, "I'm sorry, but I don't love you," but I couldn't understand why he found what I said so funny... I've seen a picture of him on facebook (he's not my friend on there) and he's not particularly attractive either. Why I went for him I don't know....

Yes, and the first love (as in first boyfriend not just crush as I've had many) that I had was the man I'm with now as a matter of fact.

I met him when I was 15 and although it was not quite love at first sight (at my end) we fell in love with each other after two months of meeting we were dating and getting very lovey dovey.

It was odd and strange but we both liked it anyway.

Even though we have 'broken up' one of two times this was not due to us falling out, but rather as we needed a break from each other.

However we are enaged now so this time I'll be forever.

I hope that when we die we'll die together at the same time. Sorry if I get a little gushy now and then but I can't help it.

Anyway it's his day off today and so as he's spent the whole afternoon asleep I'm going give him a nice snack and snouglle up next to him in our bed (we share it as we are very close, although he sometimes likes to sleep alone on the couch every now and then)

Night night!

Ta Now

I was in single-sex education from the age of 5. So, no.

My first real crush was on a South African meerkat zoologist who admits he could have AS as well. Too bad he got married to someone else. I never met him face to face but still talk to him via E-mail all the time but it's usualy questions about meerkats and South Africa.

Oh yes, and my parents hated the fact that I dated when I was younger.

Now they are dead, and as they no longer say much about the subject - I take their silence as agreement of my significant other.

But seriously, yes, I did have a childhood sweetheart.

I spoke with them recently, and they have turned into a real jerk.

They are now a mix of a second hand car salesman, an ambulance chasing lawyer, an internet troll, a presidential fluffer and they have the intellect of a terminally ill coma patient!

What did I ever see in them?

It must have been their awesome skateboard!

Now I just want to punch them in the face when I see them - but I won't, because that's naughty.
