Was anyone , especially in the U. S. , ever involved with a college radio station , especially as a DJ ?
This is one more thing I feel I " missed out entiirely " on and am bummed out about :cry:

Yes.

Returned to being a student around 40 and took some radio courses.
One of the advanced courses was helping run the little campurs radio station.

I was one of the program directors and an on air dj, and we all did little psuedo commericals etc.

It was hard work, but it was a great experience.

I did it. It was a lot of fun to sit in a booth, play music, etc.

Nobody probably tuned in...few do.

It was easy to get in on it...station had no money so all the people willing to do it for free could.

Not a radio DJ, but I occasionally haul my stereo to the commons area in the middle of the dorms and mix tunes for an hour or so. People either seem to hate it, love it, or not notice it.
