Right now i'm in the middle of exams, but i honestly don't care if i pass them or not, i know i should because if i dont i'll be stuck with all the idiots next year rather than doing highers. But i just go in, do the exam, finish in half the time given and leave. This probably isnt a good idea, but it's the most i can get myself to do. At one point i would be studying like mad for these, but that was a long time ago, now i just dont care. I want to get away from school and all the people that dont get it, then maybe i can get a job and be self sufficent. To me, right now, school seems pointless

I say, study. Get through school, and do your best. The idiots will always be there, and most kids at this age are idiots anyway. You're smarter than them, so do take school seriously. It's this world of idiots that you'll have to make your living in, so just do it because that's what you'll need to make your future easier and bearable. And I'm telling you, from my personal experience, it will get better. This time of life is just a huuuge obstacle for you to overcome. You can do it!

At one point, i justr went through the motions. Then halfway through the year something clicked or snapped and I started taking courses seriously.. Wife pretty much the same though at a later point. Could happen to you any time. Or not.

On walking out of the exam early, though. I generally did, though being me I usually waited after I was done so as to be the SECOND one to leave the exam..

But one time I had a student - terrible student. kn w NOTHING. But she was first in the room for the exam, in the front row, grabbed her paoper started writing, triple checked every answer, and was last one finished - i practically hat to pull it out of her hand.

Same class one really EXCELLENT student. Knew it all. Came in a minute late to the exam, wrote it, handed it in halfway through the period, left. Miss Knownothing kept getting as good a grade as Mr Excellent - because he did not catch the stupid little sklips of the pen everybody makes. I HATED giving her good marks.

Anyway, if you really don't care and are sure you will never wish you had cared, go ahead - but if it COULD matter to you, at least check it over before you leave.

This is what worries me, when i was in primary school, i thought they'd go away when i got to high school, but they didn't, thee's just way more of them now. It's people like that who've got me landed up being pretty close to being expelled. They seem to be everywhere.

there's probably more of them because you're at a bigger school. at least that was the case with me. but of course, there will always be idiots. school in general tends to be the hardest time for aspies. i loved my high school because i could be alone and no one generally bothered me so i just did my own thing, but high schools are different and mine was one of the better ones as far as i'm concerned.

college is much better that way, so just wait until you get to college. and do work hard on your grades, because you need them for admissions and scholarships and whatnot. my best advice would be to ignore the kids and go to school just to learn the academics. at least that's what i did, and as i said, it worked for me. i had one of the highest averages in school at the very end. there was another autistic kid in my school who had the highest grade point average in my grade 12 class, and always in the top 3 in the other grades. so just more proof that autism is not the reason to give up.

even though there are idiots at any stage in life, there are good people, too. and for me, these good people really outweigh the bad. i just ignore the rest and move on. college is good because it gives you a chance to socialize with older people who tend to be much more accepting.
