Hello everyone

I don't post here on the forums alot but i need to vent as to what has been going on in my life as of late.

I am going to enter my final semester of college and i will be graduating very soon. As much as i am happy i have achieved so much, i am over come with fear for the coming semester and here is why.

This past semester, i had to drop a course since it was getting too difficult for me to do and the mid-term was a total flop. i was able to find some other courses in the next semester i could take...however they are some the hardest courses i could take plus i am also doing my final year project as well. i feel as if i am doing a monumental task and that is what is driving my fear though the roof. i have been successful in the past in my education and i have taken a course load like this before in the past. what i have been doing over the course of this month is just reviewing same old notes and looking at the material for the courses i cam taking next semester in preparation and i have also going to hire a tutor for one of the courses.

Has anyone else gone though what i have?

I appreciate any help on dealing with my fear.

What's your major?

I got my mech engineering degree the slow way: I took few classes each quarter, and enjoyed
the luxury of club activities and a satisfying sleep routine. Of course, that carries the obvious
disadvantages of slower degree progress and higher tuition longrun, but for me it was worth it.

For harder quarters, negligence was my stress alleviator. I didn't plan how to cross the bridges
I couldn't yet see. The shock of the workload and deadlines hit me hard, but my accumulative
anxiety cost was lower because I didn't start to worry until the assignments were staring me
in the face.

... but that's just my method.

(I might delete this response later. I don't want potential-employers to read my personal stuff.)

Ach, I might have known. The electives. Different situation from yours, but point of similarity - I did the essentgials first and wound up at the with a pile of electives to fill in odd niches in the requirements and get the degree credits right. Most of them things of no interest and less utility or natural aptitude.

If I had it to do over again I would NOT save the broccoli and tough liver till the end, but see to it that the end game included mostly courses in my focus.
