3.375 GPA with 162 credits, one year remaining. (The usual at my school is circa 120 credits to graduate, as at most places, but my academic path is... unique)

I would say that, even in the sciences, some GPAs are worth more than others. There are ways of padding one's GPA, and I have friends who have greatly endeavored to do so. I've been quite lazy about my grades, so my GPA has always been rather mediocre.
