I believe I date of my High School graduation was June 28, 2001. The ten year anniversary of that date is fast approaching and haven't even heard a whisper of a reunion. I suppose that movies and such make it seem like such events are a normal occurring, when the opposite is probably true. Also, I suppose the rise of Facebook (which *gasp* didn't exist when I was in high school) negated the need for reunions, since I already know what the people I went to high school with are up to.

If nothing else, this anniversary is resulting on me reflecting on what was a very non-eventful decade of my life, which consisted for the part of me doing two post secondary programs, and my life is not much different from when I graduated, other than my age of course.

Did you enjoy HS? As far as I know, reunions are still going on even after the rise of FB.

I too graduated in '01 (in May though) and haven't heard anything about a class reunion either.

Maybe it's for the best though.....I don't really want people to see know what a miserable failure I am.

My 10 year reunion date came and went without so much as a form letter. I don't know if the alumni society budget has been cut, or if they simply couldn't find me(and frankly don't care either way) but it was odd. Oh well. Maybe in 2019.

If you went to a small school, reunions won't happen unless one of the students plans one. If you'd like to have one, you could bring up the idea to some of your former classmates on Facebook to see if there's any interest, or even try to plan one yourself (though I don't have a clue how to do that).

That's pretty much what happened with my high school class, and now we're planning to have our first ever reunion this summer. It'll be our 13-year reunion (no reason it needs to be divisible by 5). : )

Can't recall when the first Reunion call was.

Never went, never will.
