I really need some help/advice from people who might've been in my situation. I have a place to start university in September. I've also been approved for accomodation on-site.

This is where the problems start. I'll have to borrow roughly £11,000 for 3 years of accomodation. That's probably going to burden me for the rest of my life. I also won't have internet access there, meaning I'll only be able to write at the library, or at weekends when I come home.

I'm also questioning what the point of doing a Creative Writing course is. I doubt they'll teach me anything I don't know. The degree is really all it is. But then some people say just working for 3 years gets you to the same place as a degree, and you'll be earning money at the same time.

I'm looking to become a Games Journalist, and in that job area there's not really 'tiers', it's usually just small teams. This makes me think that if there's a possibility of getting a job without a degree, maybe it would be better. I seriously don't know.

I'm also unsure if I take my course whether I should take the on-site accomodation or whether I should just stay at home and catch a bus to the uni every day (around 15-20 minutes). The advantages of the accomodation are basically that I would be able to get up more easily, and I wouldn't be distracted as much by the internet. But of course, I'd have to buy all my own stuff and borrow the ~11k.

I'm also hugely worried about failing the course. I failed my last two years of College because I couldn't do the coursework. By this I mean I was kicked out of two colleges in two years, but I still scraped through with my A-Levels and somehow got a place in a decent University. I'll probably be getting some support for my Asperger's Syndrome at Uni, but I don't know if that'll be able to compensate for how much I suck at coursework.

Should I take the accomodation? Should I even do the course at all? Felt like I needed to type this up somewhere, and any advice, no matter how small, would be really helpful.
