I don't even have any intrest in going anymore really......is there any reason I should continue digging myself a debt hole with college when i am not even enjoying it anymore? I mean come on what am I going to do with a degree, I'm just a loser who wants nothing to do with this sick society. Not to mention I don't even know if I could get a degree because I am already burnt out on it.

It sounds like your problems run deeper than simply College not being for you. You need to ask yourself, "Is it College that's causing me to lose my motivation, or something else?" That's a very introspective question, but talking with people you trust is also helpful - people who know and understand you.

If it really is College that's getting you down, then ask yourself, "How would I feel if I dropped out?" If it's an overwhelming feeling of relief, then do it. If it's regret and disappointment, then you may want to re-consider your options.

I hope this helped a bit!

Most of my classmates did not enjoy college. The program was very rigorous, and we were generally split into two groups of academic philosophy. Those who believed the college was at fault for their misery because they didn't hire professors based on their ability to teach, and those who believed one was at fault for their own misery for putting themselves in a program they weren't smart enough to handle (this latter group was generally the self loathing group).

I took a poll once. Most people got an average of 6 hours sleep a night during school.

If you want a job, yes.

I have no desire to complete my course any more. Or get a job out of it. Or do anything, really. I don't have much of a choice though... I just think what else am I going to do? Can't think of a single thing.

Sucks having no worthwhile desires or ambitions.

I feel the same. Infact I said pretty much the same as you did to someone yesterday. I then thought about the last five or so years of my life, without a proper education and I think about the options I had due to this, adding Aspergers to it, it wasn't/isn't a lot of fun without a piece of paper that says, to other people who doubt you, "no, actully.. you are wrong!".

I would advise you to see the course to the end as it will make things in the future easier.. For you.

Is there anything you can change that would make the course more fun or interesting or managable?

Well of course the college thing is just one issue, there is certainly a lot more going on than that...and I already did drop out once but went back because I could not find a job and usually cannot keep one and college financial aid provides income..so I thought maybe I could give college another go and get somewhere with it but so far it does not feel like it.

I just don't see the point in trying to continue.

A job doing what? Name one job that does not involve giving into this disgusting society we live in...so why even bother going to college to get one of these damn careers? There is more to life then a good job, a nice salary and a cute little 4 bedroom house with 4 freaking kids and a couple cars where one can have family get togethers to talk about how great the world is and continue the cycle......I would rather just live somewhere where I would not have to deal with that garbage. Screw the freaking Machine!...I guess I fell off the assembly line a few years to early before I could be molded into a perfect little citizen.

lol sorry about the rant, but yeah based on your response I imagine you can understand this sort of frustration.

Lol.

Yeah I can understand that. I don't think many people want to work unless they find something they enjoy or can take pride in. Unfortunately it's necessary if you want to survive on your own. You need to find something to supply you with food, water, shelter, whatever. The problem I have is it really seems to drain me after a while.

But, what I want most at the moment is the ability to leave home. I think if I stay for much longer someone's going to get hurt one way or another. It seems like the only direction it's going in... So I'm stuck in at university for another year and a half so I can graduate and fail all my subsequent job interviews when I leave because of my slightly below average interpersonal skills.

Lol, maybe I'd end up surprisingly myself but it's hard when you feel like you have to trudge through university and there's still a good chance you won't have a job at the end of it.

With all that said and done I do wish for a successful career eventually. It's part of my ideal self I guess. Need to be able to support myself and whatever lifestyle I aim for.
