Hi Everyone,

This post is generally aimed at all groups of people who have been through the Education System whether that be a parent of an Autistic Child, a teacher or even an Autistic Student. I am currently trying to gather information to be able to complete a project and hope some of you on here would be able to help.

This project is designed for the English Education System for students in a Comprehensive School (Years 7 - 13) Age 11 - 18. And is designed to help communication between home and school for parents, teachers and students in a mainstream school whom have a diagnosis of Autism.

As I have Aspergers myself I understand quite a lot about how this project should relate to others on the spectrum however it would be great if some of you could share your views and any suggestions.

Here Goes.

Students, Parents & Teachers will be able to access an on-line system to rate their progress over the month and this will be done through an on-line form giving multiple options.
The results will then be collected and outputted into reports and graphs to make them visually appealing and to compare against previous months.
The information could be used in Annual Education Reviews etc and to monitor the child's progress.
This system currently works at the school using paper forms however they are getting lost in transit etc.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

When you say been through the educational system. Do you mean people that have had special services, IEPs, special ed, etc. Because I did not get my diagnosis till I was 18. So I went through the normal system but as a normal person. As in I did not receive anything.

Hi Ai Ling,

Thanks for the reply, I was looking more towards people who have received support in school however if you have any views you would like to share about going through the Education System without a statement of Special Educational Needs that would be great to hear!
