I love Wrong Planet. I've learned a great deal about Asperger's and myself from the people on this site, but unfortunately I haven't meet hardly anyone on these boards. I'm really frustrated because I have an opportunity to meet others out there that know Aspergers and understand some of the hardships that come along with it and yet I can't seem to make even one online buddy. I'm so tired of being alone all the time. I'd especially like to get to know college student Aspies on here and see what their lives are like. If you feel the same way too, please feel free to send me a message...

Hi,
I'm also a college student. I'm 26 and just finishing my undergraduate degree (I left school at 19 and came back to finish my degree at 24). I'm studying Psychology and I'm interested in neurology and biological psychology. I live in Toronto, Canada. I have an AS diagnosis as well as NLD and an anxiety disorder. I find it really hard to make friends too.........even online. If you want to chat please PM me. :D

If everything goes as planned, I should be graduating from high school in spring of 2012, getting my AS degree at the end of 2014, and from there, I'll most likely be going to UCF to study aerospace engineering.

This is, of course, subject to change.

Well, I'm currently in my second year of community college. I have yet to declare a major (although I am considering anthropology), because as of now I'm only trying to fulfill the core curriculum in order to get an Associate's Degree.

I love college so far. I love how I can just roam through the halls inbetween classes and no one will pester me about it. I also like how there's a cafe and a bookstore (that could also double as a convenience store) right on campus. I also like how college students are so much more mature than high school students.

I'm currently in my second year of community college in Texas. It's okay, but it does present some problems for me.

3rd year Digital Arts major...

Love/hate relationship: I love that class isn't as boring, but I struggle to catch up , even asking advice from the teachers

I feel ancient here! :)

I am a grad student going for my second Master's degree. I'm liking it so far, but am finding it hard to relate to the other's in my major. It's in education, so the other students are working teachers or undergrads.

So far most of them seem very typical, especially the other parents. Really cannot relate to anything they go on about.

I look somewhat young for my age (or at least dress like a 12 year old) but I can't relate much to the younger people either.
(the internet was not the main form of communication the last time I was in school) Gaak!

Post Grad here. Just about to start my PhD in International Relations Theory. University is the best experience, as long as you can do self-supervised work the lifestyle is great.

I'm a sophomore at a 4 year college. I'm not sure what my major will be yet.

I hope you mean 'college' as in university/the place you go at 18 because otherwise I've got this wrong :)

I'm at Cambridge university in England studying Education and English. In fact is is here that I have started being dxed lol. It's a bit weird because we're a university which runs on a 'collegiate' system which means there are 31 different parts of the uni to live in around town ('colleges') but they are not faculties since they're a mixture of subjects and so on.

I study psychology at a community college- before that I was at a big four year, and will have to return to it to get my degree.

I'm at the tail end of a masters in behavior analysis, and (seemingly long ago) got a bachelors in bioanthropology. I am not, nor have I ever been, a model of a "good college student" though.

Perspective on college life? I have 22 year old 1st year masters students asking me for weed, which I don't use regularly and have to go WAY out of my way to find, and then after I did that for them ONE TIME they talk s**t behind my back about what a waste I am, despite the fact that I a.) did them a favor and b.) try my level best (and succeed) to kick ass in all academic and professional endeavors.

I am proud of nothing and if you want some perspective on the dark side holler at me. But it's probably best to do your thing and blast people like me out of the water, god knows most collegiate knuckleheads are on my level and you can do better than that.

Descartes (on here, not the actual descartes  ) said that college students are more "mature" than high school students, I dunno, even at the graduate school level it's not all that different from high school in my experience.

I know this sounds dark, but if you are in any remotely competitive program... I would tread lightly. You will know who your friends are, but if there is any question watch your back.

I made it through my third week of classes at the engineering school at the University of Pittsburgh. I'm having a great time here and I even have some friends. I have been doing a good job of keeping up with my work and avoiding parties/drugs/alcohol. I hope things continue to be this good.
