There was a public bus driver that I had to put up with whenever I took the bus to work. If you took a few seconds too long to board the bus, pay the fare or find a seat, he would be mean and verbally abusive. He was this way to everyone who boarded his bus. One day a man needed to purchase a transfer and didn't have the correct change. He tried to ask another passenger for the change, since the bus driver got snarly at the request. The driver then ordered him off the bus, and the passenger lost his temper and began punching the driver repeatedly. That driver didn't drive again for a long time because he had a broken nose. I tried to feel sorry for him, but it was hard.
